The launch of the much-anticipated Axiom-4 mission, which includes sending an Indian astronaut to the International Space Station, has been rescheduled due to adverse weather conditions. Originally set for June 10, the mission will now lift off on June 11 at 5.30 PM IST. The announcement was made by ISRO Chairman Dr V Narayanan.
Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla is set to travel to the International Space Station (ISS) aboard SpaceX’s Falcon-9 rocket as part of the Axiom-4 (Ax-4) mission, now scheduled to launch from Kennedy Space Centre, Florida, on June 11. Shukla, a Lucknow-born pilot with the call sign ‘Shuks’, will join Commander Peggy Whitson, Tigor Kapu of Hungary and Slawosz Uznanski-Wisniewski of Poland. The mission is supported by ISRO, NASA and Axiom Space, with all crew members representing national governments.
