US private space agency, SpaceX owner Elon Musk, never ceases to amaze us on social media platform X, as his recent post reads, “We are mapping out a game plan to get a million people to Mars.” Although there is no timeline given for the plan but arouses many users.
The billionaire previously has shown huge interest in the Mars landing of mankind. He mentioned creating a self-sustaining system on Mars, so it can survive without help from Earth. Musk thinks this is important for the future of civilization. He also said that Starship, SpaceX’s big rocket, will make trips to Mars-like flights to other countries.
Last week, Musk said Starship could reach the moon in less than five years. He’s excited about SpaceX’s Dragon spaceship taking humans farther from Earth than they’ve been in fifty years. Musk thinks humans will land on Mars and go to the Moon within the next eight years.
SpaceX’s long-term plans include building a base on the Moon. Musk believes humanity should have bases on the Moon and cities on Mars, exploring beyond our solar system.
He said, “We should have a base on the moon, like a permanently occupied human base on the moon, and then send people to Mars. Maybe there’s something beyond the space station, but we’ll see.”
