Deepinder Goyal, the CEO of Zomato, has married Mexican entrepreneur Grecia Munoz. The wedding ceremony occurred more than a month ago, a source close to the couple told HT.com.
Who is Grecia Munoz?
Munoz, hailing from Mexico, has shifted her focus from a modeling career to founding her own startup specializing in luxury consumer products.
Following their nuptials, Deepinder Goyal and Grecia Munoz returned from their honeymoon in February. Munoz, in her Instagram bio, identifies herself as a native of Mexico who has found her place in India.
In her bio on Threads, Munoz describes herself as a television host. She is also the winner of the Metropolitan Fashion Week in the United States in 2022.
In January, Munoz shared glimpses of her experiences in Delhi on Instagram.
“Exploring my new life in my new home,” Munoz captioned, accompanied by images of her visits to iconic landmarks in the national capital, such as the Red Fort.
This marks Goyal’s second marriage, having previously been married to Kanchan Joshi, whom he met during his studies at IIT-Delhi. The Zomato CEO declined to comment for this article.
About Deepinder Goyal
Deepinder Goyal, aged 41, is the visionary behind Zomato, a food delivery platform headquartered in Gurugram. He founded the company in 2008 from his own apartment under the name Foodiebay. Since then, Zomato has evolved into a prominent player in food delivery, serving over 1,000 cities across India.
However, Zomato recently faced criticism for its decision to introduce a ‘pure veg’ fleet of delivery personnel, who were designated to wear green uniforms instead of the traditional Zomato red and exclusively deliver vegetarian meals. Following backlash on social media, Goyal acknowledged the potential risks this segregation posed to the safety of their delivery staff and swiftly retracted the green dress code.
