Weight loss is not an easy journey, we accept it. What makes it more challenging and overwhelming is the information overload on social media. With so much information everywhere and new trends every day, it is easy to lose sight of one’s own fitness journey. But fitness and nutrition coach Raj Ganpath has just the perfect tips and tricks to help you with your weight loss journey. He shared some easy weight loss shortcuts to help you reach your goals.

In his Instagram post, Raj wrote, “Because the real shortcuts are those that make your efforts count and keep you consistent.” Coming from a fitness coach, you know for a fact that these shortcuts for weight loss are healthy and will actually work.

He started the short video saying, “Here are four shortcuts for weight loss and fitness that actually work: but these are not your usual shortcuts. They are not going to help you get to your goals in the next week. These are shortcuts that are meant to help you get your long-term goals as quickly as possible. Are you ready?”

4 weight loss shortcuts, as shared by a fitness and nutrition coach

Eat slowly

The first point that Raj shares is to eat slowly. A common mistake most people make is eating too quickly, which leads to overeating, thus adding to your calorie intake for the day. This happens because when you eat fast, your brain doesn’t know when you are full. When you chew and eat slowly, your brain is able to register the fullness and tells you when to stop. This stops you from overeating, and your calorie intake stays normal.

Proper movement technique

For the second point, Raj mentions that it is not only vital to exercise but doing it with proper technique is just as important. When your movement technique is not right, it puts you at risk of injury and also reduces the effectiveness of your workouts. So Raj says it is essential to maintain good form if you want to make consistent progress.

Sleep early and get enough sleep

We often undermine the importance of sleep when it comes to losing weight. But what we don’t realise is that it is one of the most important factors when you are trying to lose weight. Not having enough sleep or rest makes you tired and unmotivated, and you are more likely to make poor food choices. Raj emphasises that when you get ample sleep every night, it will be easier for you to stay active and eat healthy during the day.

Address your mistakes immediately

Making mistakes and having setbacks in one’s weight loss journey is normal, but it is imperative that you don’t let it spiral out of control and turn into bigger problems. If you make a mistake like skipping a workout or overeating during a meal, it is important to move on from it and get back on track as quickly as possible.

Raj Ganpath has always maintained that weight loss is not about drastic changes, but it is about building small, sustainable habits that lead to effective results.
