At 94, Buffett’s unconventional lifestyle and food habits may surprise people. The nonagenarian loves to play a game of Bridge, sometimes playing for over 8 hours a week, according to Business Insider. He spends 5-6 hours reading, finding himself immersed in the world of books, another unconventional habit that is credited for his sharp mind.

No doubts regarding that as he started building his wealth by investing in stock market at the age of 11, according to Business Insider. He earned $175 a month by delivering The Washington Post and earned even more than his teachers.

Buffett indulges in a heavy-calorie meal with McDonald’s and Coke, featuring prominently in this daily routine. Taking a deeper look at what he eats in a day is nothing less than surprising, given his robust health at this age.

Buffett’s go-to drink isn’t for the faint-hearted

“If I eat 2700 calories a day, a quarter of that is Coca-Cola. I drink at least five 12-ounce servings. I do it everyday,” he said in a 2015 interview with Fortune.

His love for Coke continues even at the age of 94. At Berkshire Hathaway’s annual shareholder meeting on May 2025, the billionaire said at 94 years of age, he has been able to drink whatever he likes to drink.

It is to be noted that Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway owns 400 million shares of Coca-Cola, which, as of August 2025, which are worth over $25 billion.

That’s not it. Before starting work, on his way to the office, Buffet regularly goes to McDonald’s to have breakfast, “When I’m not feeling quite so prosperous, I might go with the $2.61, which is two sausage patties, and then I put them together and pour myself a Coke,” he revealed in the 2017 HBO documentary, Becoming Warren Buffett.

Buffett explains that he has adopted his unusual diet routine for a peculiar reason.

“I checked the actuarial tables, and the lowest death rate is among six-year-olds. So I decided to eat like a six-year old,” he told Fortune jokingly.

However, health experts won’t exactly recommend you to try Buffett’s morning drink. But perhaps it works for him.
