Not many celebrities get an ultra-luxurious tower named after them but Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan stands a class part. Dubai based Danube properties, part of the $2 billion Danube group, is developing a 55-storey commercial tower named after the King of Bollywood called ‘Shahrukhz’ which is perhaps the first tower of its kind, to be named after an actor.

Located on Sheikh Zayed road, the tower will have 488 units and development will span across a massive area of 1 million square feet. It will offer owners of the units multiple luxury amenities and will encompass not only commercial spaces but also leisure zones and family friendly spaces.

Launch Date, cost of each unit, luxury amenities

Currently in development, Shahrukhz by Danube has a completion date of June 2029, less than four years from now, according to the official website. The entrance will feature a massive gold statue of Shah Rukh Khan at the entrance in his classic outstretched-arms pose. According to the chairman of the Danube group, Rizwan Sajan, commercial unit sizes will range from 460 sq ft to 11,000 sq ft. Prices of the units will begin at Rs 4 crores and will vary depending on the area and facilities available to the individual unit.

The luxury tower’s location is another attractive feature for potential owners – Sheikh Zayed road is Dubai’s most iconic main highway and it is always busy. Famous landmarks like the Burj Khalifa and Museum of the Future are all within close proximity to Shahrukhz. The tower is 5 minutes away from Palm Jumeirah, a glitzy island famous for its high-end eateries, hotels, clubs and boutiques. Mall of Emirates, Dubai World Trade Center and the Dubai International airport are also close by.

As for the amenities, Shahrukhz offers over 40 unique and luxurious options. The ground floor has an SRK selfie point, valet parking, electric car charging stations and a drone docking station. Level 9 of the tower offers it’s occupants fun activities that they can partake in from a cricket pitch and badminton court to multiple gardens and a podcast studio.

The tower also has a Sky pool, a state of the art gym, meeting rooms, prayer halls, a club house, a lounge and a helipad. Occupants can utilize the shuttle to the nearby metro. Aesthetically pleasing and designed by the most premier architectural minds, Shahrukhz is a true representation of the icon it’s named after – larger than life and dazzling.

Shahrukhz is already sold out

The excitement for a tower named after King Khan quickly turned into a commercial explosion that reset expectations for Dubai real estate. Ironically, even Shah Rukh Khan couldn’t buy a unit at a tower named after him because, the day they went on sale, all 488 units were snapped up off the market with bookings amounting to over AED 2.1 billion or Rs 5,000 crores as per Business Standard. The tower is being developed at a cost of Rs 3500 crores.

This speed proves that combining a top location on Sheikh Zayed Road and cutting-edge luxury with Shah Rukh Khan’s global appeal is a winning formula. The tower’s total sell-out has already sparked intense talk that the Danube Group and SRK are planning a ‘Shahrukhz 2.0’ to handle the huge public interest.
