Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan recently visited her friend and actor Sonu Sood’s new Mumbai residence for an episode of her cooking vlog. Farah offered viewers and fans an intimate tour of Sood’s new sprawling duplex, named Gangotr, which is estimated at Rs 20 crore. We take a virtual tour of Sonu Sood’s new home.

“Aaj main mere bohot khaas friend ke ghar aayi hoon. Aap log ne filmon mein heroes to dekhe honge lekin yeh asli life mein hero hai,” Farah said as she walked in through the gates.
Gangotri is a reflection of Sonu Sood’s cultural roots. As Farah entered, she remarked, “Sonu ji ka ghar aisa lag raha hai hum log Punjab mein aa gaye hain,” a nod to the Punjabi touch in the home’s aesthetic.
The video begins at the entrance, where viewers are welcomed by a serene garden featuring a peaceful Buddha statue. “Sonu is also like this statue, always calm and composed,” Farah hilariously commented.
As we move past the lush outdoor seating area, the house opens into a refined and polished living space. The interiors have a soft white-and-beige theme, with plush sofas, a modern center table, and elegant wall art. A grand white staircase moves upward from a chic dining area, a fusion of style and subtle luxury.
The vlog also offers a look inside the family’s personal corners. Sonu’s elder son Ishant’s room is defined by grey tones and a unique self-made car-themed canvas and features a private exit. Meanwhile, his younger son Ahaan’s room bursts with energy with anime-inspired wall art and bright yellow furniture.
Upstairs, the home features a sleek media lounge fitted with white sofas and a massive screen, which doubles as a meeting space. One of the most talked-about elements is a thread art portrait of Sonu, intricately crafted and gifted by a fan.
Another highlight is his dedicated sneaker room, a shared passion project between Sonu and his sons. All three wear the same shoe size and have built a mini shrine to their shared love for sneakers.
There is a peaceful balcony outside shaded by thick foliage, including a fruit-bearing mango tree, which adds to the home’s warmth. Farah joked with Sonu as they collected fallen mangoes, saying, “You should get into the mango business.”
Sonu Sood’s house tour ended with Farah saying, “Wow, just a nice house, looks like Om Shanti Om set,” to which Sonu quipped, “Yes, it’s inspired by that only.”

What’s next for Sonu Sood?
On the work front, Sonu Sood recently turned director with Fateh, an action drama that hit theatres on January 10. The film stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Raaz, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya. The actor-director is now preparing for his next project, Nandi, where he will act and direct.
