Founding of Zomato
Deepinder with his idea has revolutionized the food delivery segment in India. He got the idea for Zomato while he was working at Bain. He often saw his colleague finding it difficult to order food from restaurants. He realised the need for an online food delivery platform that features comprehensive information about restaurants. He first launched Foodiebay.com along with his colleague Pankaj Chaddah in 2008. In 2010, Foodiebay.com rebranded itself as Zomato.com.
