Dys before the grand inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22, Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan made a significant real estate acquisition in the city. Reports reveal that the veteran actor has purchased a plot in The Sarayu, a luxurious 7-star plotted development along the Sarayu River. This upscale project is being developed by Mumbai-based firm The House of Abhinandan Lodha, conveniently located just 15 minutes away from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple.
According to the Hindustan Times, Amitabh Bachchan has acquired a sprawling 10,000 square feet of land in The Sarayu at a staggering cost of Rs 14.5 crore. In a statement regarding this new investment, Bachchan expressed his anticipation for the upcoming collaboration with The House of Abhinandan Lodha, emphasizing Ayodhya’s unique status as the “global spiritual capital.”
The renowned actor shared his thoughts, saying, “I am looking forward to embarking on this journey with The House of Abhinandan Lodha for The Sarayu in Ayodhya, a city that holds a special place in my heart. The timeless spirituality and cultural richness of Ayodhya have forged an emotional connection that transcends geographical boundaries.”
He went on to express his excitement about the venture, stating, “This is the start of a heartfelt journey into the soul of Ayodhya, where tradition and modernity seamlessly co-exist, creating an emotional tapestry that resonates with me deeply. I look forward to building my home in the global spiritual capital.” The ambitious housing project is slated for completion by March 2028.
