Vidaamuyarchi, the highly anticipated Tamil film directed by Magizh Thirumeni and starring Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan hit theatres on Thursday. On Day 4 (Sunday), Vidaamuyarchi earned Rs 4.2 crore as per the latest data, bringing its total collection to Rs 55.07 crore in its first four days across all languages as per the latest data.
The film has made a decent debut at the box office, with its opening weekend showcasing promising results despite a slight dip on Day 2.
According to Industry tracker Sacnilk, on its first day, Vidaamuyarchi earned Rs 26 crore, with Rs 25.5 crore coming from the Tamil version and Rs 0.5 crore from the Telugu version. This opening was a clear indicator of the excitement surrounding the film’s release.
However, the film faced a sharp decline on Day 2 (Friday), with the box office collection dropping to Rs 10.25 crore—a 60.58% decrease compared to Day 1. The Tamil version brought in Rs 9.85 crore, while the Telugu version contributed Rs 0.4 crore.
However, the film showed a strong recovery on Day 3 (Saturday), with collections rising to Rs 14.62 crore (rough data), a 42.63% jump from Day 2. The Tamil version accounted for Rs 14.35 crore, while the Telugu version got Rs 0.27 crore.
The film, which tells the story of a protagonist’s intense journey of survival and determination as he faces dangerous obstacles in a bid to save his loved one, has kept audiences engaged with its high-stakes action and emotional tension.
