The historical epic, Chhava has made a promising start to the box office on day one. With its grand release on Friday, the advance bookings have already crossed the Rs 10 crore mark.

According to initial reports from Sachilk.com, Chhaava has generated an estimated Rs 13.78 crore in revenue from advance ticket sales. The film has impressively sold over 4.87 lakh tickets across more than 14,063 screenings nationwide. Currently, the net advance booking revenue is around Rs 13 crore. However, when factoring in reserved seats, the total is expected to reach approximately Rs 17.87 crore.

Predictions from industry experts suggest that the eagerly awaited Chhava is to set to achieve a robust target of Rs 23-25 crores on Day 1 itself. It might also be a record-breaking opening for lead, Vicky Kaushal.

Positioning it as one of the largest debuts in the historical genre, the film has attracted viewers mainly from Maharashtra. In other states, apart from Delhi, Chhava advance bookings and overall performance remains uncertain.

In the film, Vicky Kaushal plays the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaji, a celebrated warrior-king. His previous films, Sam Bahadur, Sardar Udham and Uri portray him as a perfect fit for the role.

As the film starts strong in Maharashtra, it performs decently in the rest of the cities. Amidst the hype, Chhava is set to become the biggest opening for Bollywood in 2025 so far.
