Laxman Utekar’s grand action film Chhaava, based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and featuring Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna, continues to perform well at the box office since its release on February 14. On day 15 (2nd Friday), the film has earned Rs 4.02 crore till 4 PM, bringing the total box office collection to Rs 403.52 crore as per the latest data.

According to the Industry tracker Sacnilk, On day 1, it started with Rs 31 crore 1 (1st Friday) and saw steady growth through its opening weekend, reaching Rs 48.5 crore on Day 3 (1st Sunday), a 31.08% increase. However, the collections dropped significantly on Day 4 (1st Monday) to Rs 24 crore, marking a 50.52% decline. The film’s Week 1 total was Rs 219.25 crore.

In Week 2, the collection saw some fluctuations, with notable increases the film saw a rise to Rs 23.5 crore on Day 8 (2nd Friday) and Rs 44 crore on Day 9 (2nd Saturday). However, collections dropped to Rs 40 crore on Day 10 (2nd Sunday)., Rs 18 crore on Day 11 (2nd Monday), and slightly rose to Rs 18.5 crore on Day 12 (2nd Tuesday). 

On Day 13  (2nd Wednesday), it earned Rs 23 crore, but dropped again to Rs 13.25 crore on Day 14 (2nd Thursday). The Week 2 total was Rs 180.25 crore, a 17.79% decline from Week 1.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed his admiration for the film during his speech at the 98th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan at Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi. He recognized Chhaava’s success, stating, “Maharashtra and Mumbai have played a significant role in uplifting both Hindi and Marathi cinema. And currently, Chhaava is creating a buzz.”
