Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri box office collection day 3: Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday made their Christmas return to cinemas with a familiar dose of romance in Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. Released on Thursday, December 25, the festive spirits offered the film a healthy start. But with mega blockbusters Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar and James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash in theatres, the audience has been divided.

In a year where most romantic comedies failed to spark excitement—after lukewarm outings like ‘Param Sundari’ and ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari,’ this release follows the brief resurgence of the genre led by Kriti Sanon and Dhanush in ‘Tere Ishk Mein’. The breezy rom-com also features Neena Gupta and Jackie Shroff and became a talking point early on, thanks in part to its tongue-twisting title.

As per Sacnilk, the Dharma Productions-backed film opened at Rs 7.5 crore in India, narrowly missing the double-digit mark. The first Friday saw a sharp decline of 32 per cent as the collections dropped to Rs 5.25 crore. However, the weekend brought no recovery, as the box office collection remained unchanged.

Early estimates reveal that the box office collection of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri on day 3 has crossed Rs 18.25 crore in India. Including the worldwide revenue of Rs 2 crore, the global box office reported a Rs 20 crore collection for the Kartik Aaryan-Ananya Panday starrer.

Overall occupancy stood at around 23 per cent on day one, though evening and night shows showed better traction, crossing 34 per cent. While the overall tally improved from its first Friday, the rom-com could not cross the 40 per cent threshold. Delhi NCR and Mumbai remained a hotspot for audiences as it filled more than 21% seats across the 1000 shows.

Directed by Sameer Vidwans, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri features Kartik Aaryan, Ananya Pandey, Neena Gupta, Jackie Shroff, Aruna Irani, and Tiku Talsania in key roles.
