Season 3 of Kapil Sharma’s The Great Indian Kapil Show will premiere on Netflix on June 21. The promo for the show has been released by Netflix India and Salman Khan is revealed to be the first guest to appear on this season. The Kapil Sharma show will feature regulars like Archana Puran Singh, Krushna Abhishek, Sunil Grover, and Kiku Sharda. Navjot Singh Sindhu will also make his big return. The Instagram account for Netflix India shared the promo with the caption, “Sikandar ka swag + Kapil ki timing = BLOCKBUSTER. The Great Indian Kapil Show is back aur har Funnyvaar badhega humara parivaar. Watch the first episode from 21st June, 8 pm, every Saturday only on Netflix.”

The promo starts with the iconic introduction of Navjot Singh Sidhu, followed by a grand entry by both Kapil and Salman Khan with dancers. It announces ‘Naye Season ki Shuruaat, Sikandar ke sath’ (The new season starts off with Sikandar). Salman Khan, who is amongst the most iconic and beloved guests on the show, is welcomed by the audience with great applause. The Sikandar actor is shown making a quip about how Netflix, after taking the show from him, invited him as the first guest.

Krushna Abhishek makes an appearance, dressed in pink and appearing to play his signature role as ‘Sapna’ on the show. He is seen playfully flirting with an increasingly disturbed-looking Salman Khan. At one point, Sapna exclaims, “Tiger abhi zinda hai!” (Tiger is still alive), referencing Salman’s RAW agent character from the movie Tiger Zinda Hai. To this, Salman hilariously responds, “Hai toh sahi lekin apke liye nahi!” (He is, but not for you). This is followed by both the beloved permanent guests, Archana Puran Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu, sitting side by side and laughing.

The promo promises ‘Zero filter, full Dhamaal’ (zero filter, full ruckus) and on cue, Kapil is seen mentioning actor Aamir Khan’s new girlfriend. He takes a jibe at Salman Khan’s remaining unmarried, a long-standing running joke, by saying, “Woh ruk nahi rahe, aap kar hi nahi rahe.” (he isn’t stopping, you aren’t starting). Salman responds by mentioning Aamir’s reputation as a perfectionist, saying, “Jab tak woh marriage ko ekdam perfect nahi kar lega…” (until he absolutely perfects his marriage…), leaving the audience in splits even before he can complete the sentence.

Not above making jokes at his own failures, Salman Khan is also seen joking about his film, Sikandar’s inability to perform as well as expected on the box office. The superstar asks a Salman look-alike, “Kaam dhandha sab accha chal raha hai? Sikandar se koi fark toh nahi pada?” (Is all well at work? I hope Sikandar didn’t effect you too much). Kapil and Salman are also shown singing along to the actor’s iconic song ‘Oh Jaane Jaana’ from the movie Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya.

The Promo wraps up with a sequence involving Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan look-alikes having a conversation while Salman Khan is seen staring at them intensely. “I think we should avoid it today,” the Aamir look-alike says. The Shah Rukh Khan look-alike responds, “Koi baat nahi, Bhaiyya. Main hoon na?” (don’t worry brother, I am here), referencing SRK’s iconic film Main Hoon Na. Aamir Khan replies with, “Tu hai na. Tujhe kuch nahi hoga, meri problem hai.” (nothing will happen to you- the problem is mine).
