The Ghazi Attack box office collections day 4: Rana Daggubati’s The Ghazi Attack earned Rs 1.55 crore on Monday. This makes the movie’s total earnings Rs 8.25 crore, according to a report in Bollywood Hungama. Despite Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2, India’s first underwater film is doing quite well. The Ghazi Attack had opened to Rs 1.65 crore Friday, so its Monday (day 4) earnings are quite encouraging. These figures, however, are only related to the Hindi version of the film’s release. The bulk of the movie’s revenue is coming from its other versions such as Tamil and Telegu. When you consider its pan-India revenue, the film isn’t doing badly at all. On Monday, it collected Rs 3.65 crore and its total earnings are Rs 19.40 crore.

The Ghazi Attack has also managed to make a mark overseas. While its box office contemporaries Running Shaadi and Irada are struggling to stay afloat, The Ghazi Attack has managed to keep its head above the water (even if the plot is all about remaining below the surface). Celebrating the success of the film, Rana tweeted, “And our victory on celluloid continues! Thanking everyone who has watched the film from the bottom of my heart!”

While The Ghazi Attack’s impact on the box office might be minimal compared to other box office releases, it has pulled off many firsts. As a film catering to both the north and the south of the country, it has fared considerably well. Director Sankalp Reddy also managed to prove that it wasn’t just land-based war movies that Indian audiences would be interested. Rather they were as comfortable sinking their teeth into the underwater war movie genre as well. As far as Rana Daggubati becoming a leading man in Bollywood goes, it’s difficult to tell whether north Indian audiences are ready for that. But definitely, his performance in the film has left an impact on many.
