Unleashing a chilling story of survival, reality TV star DEX jumps onto the K-drama stage, shedding his Single’s Inferno charm to make for high-quality thriller. Joining him in the lead role of the forthcoming drama The Defects, SKY Castle actress Yum Jung Ah returns to a dark world as the head of a nefarious operation that is bound to bring no good.

Stepping into the light as the chief director of a prominent hospital and the face behind a crucial charity foundation, she slips into a more notorious reality behind the curtains while running an illegal adoption organisation. DEX’s Hyeon is right by her side accomplishing these calamitous deeds until Won Jin Ah’s (Secret: Untold Melody, Melting Me Softly) Kim A Hyeon wrecks the system in a tragic plot twist.

Revealing the unseen side of adoption resulting in abandoned children, The Defects is not likely to be a drama choice for the light-hearted. Challenging social taboos, the show hopes to deliver an unforgettable message with talents like Choi Young Joon (Big Deal, Gyeongseong Creature), Lee Na Eun (Extraordinary You, A-Teen) and Ahn Ji Ho (Heesu in Class 2, Begins Youth) also part of the reliable star cast.
