Thamma vs Ek Deewane ki Deewaniyat Box Office Collection Day 1: It’s raining releases this Diwali 2025. From Ayushmann Khurrana’s Thamma to Sonam Bajwa’s Ek Deewane ki Deewaniyat, the cinephiles are in for a treat. Even regional releases like Dude, Bison, and Telusu Kada have made big waves in Tamil cinema. However, as the gap between the Bollywood releases widens, fans have clearly picked their favourite.

Maddock Films’ Thamma stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Paresh Rawal. The horror-comedy has received wide praise from audiences who enjoyed the Stree-verse and surprise appearances from other characters in the franchise. Loaded with humour and horror, Thamma’s Diwali release became Khurrana’s biggest opening day.

Starring Harshvardhan Rane, Sonam Bajwa, Shaad Randhawa, and Sachin Khedekar in key roles, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has been directed by Milap Milan Zaveri. Here’s a look at who’s winning the box office race.
