Thamma Box Office Collection Day 3: Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s latest outing, Thamma, is setting the box office on fire. The horror-comedy, produced by Maddock Films, has turned out to be the studio’s biggest opener since Stree 2. Packed with social media references, the viral ‘Poison Baby’ song, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a delightfully eccentric role as a bloodthirsty vampire, the film has quickly become a festive hit.

Ayushmann plays Alok Gupta, who finds love in Tadaka, played by Rashmika Mandanna. As they battle off supernatural forces and family drama, they are seen quite literally jumping off cliffs and fighting off eerie creatures. The film has a quirky mix of humour and horror, with unapologetic social media references.

Thamma Collection Day 2: Box Office Update

Released on Diwali 2025, Thamma had a strong opening day with a Rs 24 crore collection on its first day, riding high on festive footfall. The momentum continued into Day 2, when the film collected another Rs 18 crore, taking advantage of the extended holiday week. Including its Rs 10 crore day-zero advance booking collections and a Day 3 gross of Rs 12.5 crore, the domestic net total has now left behind the Rs 50 crore mark. The Thamma box office collection after day 3 amounted to Rs 55 crore.

Thamma movie reviews: What’s the verdict?

As the festive occupancy dips below 20%, here’s what audiences are saying online. With a 6.5 rating on IMDb, users have advised watching the film “only if you want to stay connected to the Stree universe.” Calling the storytelling weak, the particular user felt no surprises, spark, or comedy.

Other reviews called Thamma an “ambitious yet uneven cinematic leap.” While another opinion noted that the visuals were “quite impressive,” and called the overall experience entertaining. Carrying on the popular opinion, some even felt that Rashmika Mandanna, who plays Tadaka, required better writing.

According to social media reviews, the first half lacks a clear plot; however, the second half lit up the screens. “The second half of the movie groundbreaks itself,” wrote a user, praising the cameos from other Maddock Films’ characters.
