After Hema Malini‘s strong-worded post on social media, lashing out at the media for spreading ‘unforgivable’ Dharmendra death rumour, the veteran actor’s son Sunny Deol, slammed paparazzi for standing outside his Juhu residence and constantly looking for coverage.

The actor lost his cool after seeing photographers outside his home. “Aap log ke bhi bacche hai, maa baap hai, aise c*e jaise khade hai, sharam nahi aati? (you also have children and parents. Why are you standing like this. Don’t you have any shame?)”

Dharmendra’s hospitalisation sparks death rumours

Dharmendra‘s death trended across various social platforms on Tuesday with tributes pouring in from prominent people after the actor was hospitalised for respiratory issues. The rumours continued to swirl despite Malini reassuring with her post on Monday evening that the actor is fine.

When things got out of hand, Dharmendra’s daughter Esha Deol and wife Hema Malini took to their respective social media handles on Tuesday to clarify the actor is stable and recovering at the hospital.

The actor recovers at home

Putting end to all speculations, on Wednesday, Dharmendra was discharged from Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital with his doctor saying the veteran actor was satisfied with his treatment and will continue with his recovery process at home.

The constant presence of cameras outside the family’s Mumbai residence may have prompted Deol’s reaction who rightly reprimanded media for invading their privacy.

The actor’s team had also issued a statement requesting privacy earlier. However this seems to have fallen on deaf ears.

“Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family’s privacy during this time,” read the statement.

Karan Johar supports Sunny Deol

Meanwhile, Bollywood filmmaker urged media to leave the Deol family alone and said it was heartbreaking to see media circus ‘for a living legend’.

“When basic courtesy and sensitivity leaves our hearts and our actions we know, we are doomed race,” he wrote.

“Please leave a family alone!!!! They are already emotionally combatting so much…it’s heartbreaking to see a paparazzi and media circus for a living legend who has contributed so massively to our cinema…this is not coverage it’s a disrespect,” he posted on his Instagram story.
