Aamir Khan’s latest film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, has seen a sharp drop on the fifth day of its release, as per the early collections shown by sacnik. The film has collected an estimated Rs 0.13 crore in India on day 5. The total net collection of the film has surpassed Rs 67 crore.

‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ all-language box office collection 

On its opening day (Friday), Sitaare Zameen Par earned Rs 10.7 crore in India net collections. The majority of the earnings came from the Hindi version (Rs 10.6 crore), while the Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions contributed Rs 0.05 crore each.

The film witnessed a strong jump on its second day (Saturday), raking in Rs 20.2 crore. The Hindi version brought in Rs 20 crore, with Tamil and Telugu adding Rs 0.15 crore and Rs 0.05 crore respectively. This marked an impressive 88.79% growth from Day 1.

The upward trend continued on Sunday (Day 3), with collections rising to Rs 27.25 crore. Of this, Rs 27 crore came from the Hindi version, while the Tamil and Telugu versions added Rs 0.17 crore and Rs 0.08 crore respectively. The film saw a 34.90% increase over Saturday.

However, Monday (Day 4) brought a steep decline in earnings, with the film collecting Rs 8.88 crore based on rough estimates. The Hindi version accounted for Rs 8.79 crore, while Tamil and Telugu versions contributed Rs 0.05 crore and Rs 0.04 crore respectively. This was a 67.41% drop from the previous day.

By Day 5 (Tuesday), the film’s momentum had nearly halted, bringing in only Rs 0.06 crore across all languages. With this, Sitaare Zameen Par’s total 5-day India net collection stands at approximately Rs 67.09 crore.

The film opened to strong occupancy over its first weekend, peaking at over 54% on Sunday. However, Monday saw a sharp drop to around 13–18% overall occupancy, and early trends suggest Tuesday’s turnout has been even lower.

Sitaare Zameen Par is a sports comedy-drama directed by R.S. Prasanna and produced by Aamir Khan Productions. The film stars Aamir Khan, Genelia Deshmukh, Brijendra Kala and Dolly Ahluwalia. 

It is an official remake of the acclaimed Spanish film Campeones and tells the story of a basketball coach who, after a DUI, is assigned to train a team of neurodivergent adults. The narrative focuses on inclusion, second chances and the transformative power of sports.

Box office context

The film has already surpassed the lifetime India collection of Aamir Khan’s previous release, Laal Singh Chaddha (Rs 61.36 crore). Sitaare Zameen Par is also giving tough competition to other recent releases such as Akshay Kumar’s Kesari Chapter 2 and Sunny Deol’s Jaat, despite facing new competition in its second week.
