The first hints surfaced a few weeks ago, courtesy of Instagram handle Diet Sabya, who teased followers with a cryptic post. But on Sunday (April 27) the speculation gained serious momentum. Diet Sabya confidently declared that SRK is indeed set to walk the legendary Met Gala red carpet, draped in an outfit crafted by none other than Sabyasachi.
While there has been no official confirmation from SRK himself, fans quickly caught a telling clue when his long-time manager Pooja Dadlani liked the Insta post. For many, this subtle move was all the confirmation they needed.
Announcing the news, Diet Sabya posted, “Shah Rukh + Sabya Met Confirmed. National headlines, Threads in meltdown, entertainment sites foaming at the mouth, Twitter frenzy et al. Time to shut it down lol. We at DietSabya can confirm: yes, that is indeed SRK – India’s undisputed generational superstar – making his Met Gala debut in May 2025, wearing Sabyasachi (India’s biggest luxury brand).”
If true, this would be a landmark moment as SRK would not only be debuting at the Met Gala but will also become the first Indian male actor to walk its legendary carpet, a major milestone for Bollywood and Indian fashion.
SRK won’t be the only Indian star making waves at the Met Gala this year. Adding more excitement, there are murmurs that singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh might join the lineup, though official confirmation is awaited.
The Met Gala 2025, set for May 5 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, will celebrate the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”, promising a powerful showcase of Black fashion, creativity and identity.
