The funeral at Vile Parle was attended by family, friends, co-stars, and fans, all paying tribute to the legendary actor. Shah, aged 74, had been battling kidney-related health issues and had undergone a transplant a few months ago.

In a touching moment, the Sarabhai vs Sarabhai cast sang the show’s iconic theme song at the funeral. A video shared online showed the close bond among the team, who had spent years working like a family. Sharing the clip, Deven Bhojani wrote on X, “May look mad, dark, weird whatever .. but we always sing this when we’re together & today was not an exception. Felt as if INDU himself insisted and joined us. satishshah ji I am blessed to have directed you in sarabhaivssarabhai. You’ll live forever in our hearts.”

Actor Suresh Oberoi said, “We have known each other since 1974. He was always happy. I never knew he had so many problems.”
