Brace yourselves, Bigg Boss fans — Salman Khan is back and so is his eye-popping paycheck! The Bollywood megastar is returning to host Bigg Boss 19 and while contestants may come and go, Bhai’s fee remains the ultimate showstopper.
According to multiple reports, Salman is charging a jaw-dropping Rs 120-150 crore for the first three months alone—yes, that’s over 600 times PM Modi’s annual salary! With Rs 8-10 crore expected per weekend episode, this could be one of Salman’s highest earnings for the show to date.
When and where to watch the new Bigg Boss season?
This season of Bigg Boss, which kicks off on August 30 on JioCinema, will be a digital-first show. New episodes will premiere on OTT, and just 90 minutes later, make their way to Colors TV for the traditional TV audience.
“Since the show will primarily stream online, it’s being treated as an OTT extension,” a report stated. Interestingly, the full run of the show will span five months, with Salman hosting for the first 15 weeks, after which the reins will be handed over to other big names. Farah Khan, Karan Johar and Anil Kapoor are rumoured to take turns in the host’s seat.
Bigg Boss contestants this year
Salman’s paycheck this year may not touch the Rs 250 crore mark he commanded for Bigg Boss 18, but it’s still a massive upgrade from his Rs 96 crore OTT stint on Bigg Boss OTT 2.
The contestant list is still under wraps, but the rumour mill is buzzing with names like Gautami Kapoor, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Gaurav Taneja, Mr. Faisu, Dhanashree Verma and even influencers like Apoorva Mukhija and Mickey Makeover.
