Saiyaara OTT release: Becoming Bollywood’s second-biggest grosser, Saiyaara set the box office on fire with its record-shattering performance. Low on star power, the Aneet Padda and Ahaan Panday-starrer silenced critics with their blockbuster debut.
While the romance genre has rarely worked this well for Bollywood, Saiyaara ranked among the other love trope films, such as Rockstar and Ranjhana. Making its OTT release today, fans can watch Mohit Suri’s romantic drama on Netflix starting from September 12.

- ‘Saiyaara’ was reportedly going to be called ‘Aashiqui 3’, but it couldn’t happen due to the rights clash with T-series over their hit franchise name Aashiqui. However, this couldn’t affect the fate of Ahaan Panday-Aneet Padda starrer, as the film went on to create box office history.
- The film proved that story is the really king and not the stars. With a gripping storyline and emotional dept, Saiyaara registered a whopping Rs 21 crore opening day debut, which even actors like Salman Khan and Amir Khan have not yet achieved.
- The film has added to the long list of soul stirring musicals that have captured box office in the past. Released mid-week and starring newcomers, the film’s music was a significant driver of audiences, giving Saiyaara multiple houseful shows.
- Before her Bollywood debut, Aneet Padda was part of Revathy’s Salaam Venky and Prime Video’s series, Big Girls Don’t Cry. She even wrote, composed, and the title track of the show.
