Roi Roi Binale has had a successful run at the Box Office. The film, which sees late Assamese singer Zubeen Garg in his final role as blind musician Raul, clearly struck a poignant role with audiences as theatres were booked till capacity through the week in Assam. Released on October 31 2025 as per the singer’s last wishes, the movie has slowly but surely captivated crowds across India.

The movie was not only released in Garg’s home state of Assam but also pan-India with 180 screenings across India, a rare feat for Assamese movies to achieve. This was in line with the late singer’s life-long dream of taking Assamese cinema to the mainstream and helping it grow to be as successful as other regional cinema. Thus, his wife Garima Saikia Garg and director Rajesh Bhuyan ensured that the film received a pan Indian release.

How did Roi Roi Binale perform on day 6 at the Box Office?

The film which opened with Rs 1.85 crores on Day 1 saw a steady rise through the weekend on Days 2 and 3. Day 2 raked in Rs 2 crores while Day 3 saw collections of Rs 1.8 crores.

With the earnings of Day 6, the movie has finally crossed the Rs 10 crore mark and become the 4th highest grossing Assamese film in history, beating out Jatin Bora’s Ratnakar (2019) and Rupak Gogoi’s Rudra (2025).

This is the fastest any Assamese film has achieved such a record. Movie theatres across Guwahati are currently only screening Roi Roi Binale as a tribute to Garg and his legacy, with other releases, both current and upcoming, taking the backseat. Footfall is predicted to rise as the weekend approaches.

Roi Roi Binale’s release has truly been something to witness. The grief that gripped the state of Assam has had thousands flocking to packed theatres and lining up to catch 4:30 AM screenings in an attempt to say goodbye to one of the state’s most important artists. With the movie breaking records and fans carrying the memory of Zubeen Garg home after shows, it is safe to say that the late artist’s legacy is going to be safe and cherished.
