Param Sundari Box Office Collection Day 6: Tushar Jalota’s debut film Param Sundari, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, seems to be losing grip at the box office. The much-hyped cross-cultural romantic comedy, which opened to decent numbers last week, is now struggling to keep up its pace. On Wednesday, day six of its release, the film saw its weakest collection so far. It earned only Rs 2.85 crore in India, a big drop from Tuesday’s Rs 4.25 crore. That’s nearly a 40 per cent fall in just one day.
Param Sundari Box Office Collection so far
The film had a good start last Friday, opening with Rs 7.25 crore. Over the weekend, collections rose to Rs 9.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 10.25 crore on Sunday. But once the weekday started, the numbers began slipping. Monday brought in Rs 3.25 crore, Tuesday Rs 4.25 crore, and Wednesday only Rs 2.85 crore.
This takes the film’s total to Rs 37.10 crore net in India and around Rs 44.50 crore gross.
Param Sundari worldwide box office collection day 6
Worldwide, Param Sundari has collected nearly Rs 59.50 crore in six days. Of this, overseas markets have contributed just under Rs 15 crore (a little over 1.5 million dollars). The most of its earnings still comes from India, where the film has seen a midweek slowdown.
Param Sundari’s performance compared to recent films
Despite its slump, Param Sundari has managed to beat a few latest releases. It has already crossed the collections of Shahid Kapoor’s thriller Deva (Rs 33.97 crore) and even the re-release of Sanam Teri Kasam (Rs 35.55 crore). On Thursday, it is likely to surpass the Hindi-dubbed version of Ram Charan and Kiara Advani’s Game Changer (Rs 37.47 crore). Next in line is Kajol’s Maa (Rs 38.63 crore).
But when compared with other 2025 romantic dramas, Param Sundari is falling short. Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara, starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has been a massive hit, collecting over Rs 550 crore worldwide. Even Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi’s Bhool Chuk Maaf earned Rs 89 crore worldwide, far ahead of Param Sundari. Anurag Basu’s Metro In Dino also did better, closing at Rs 62.25 crore.
Param Sundari story
The film revolves around Param (Sidharth Malhotra), a carefree Delhi boy from a wealthy family who spends his time investing in trendy startups. His life changes when he signs up on an AI matchmaking app called Soulmates. There, he gets paired with Sundari (Janhvi Kapoor), a rooted South Indian girl who runs her family’s homestay in Kerala.
The film is all about the clash between Param’s modern, city-bred lifestyle and Sundari’s traditional world. Their cultural differences create funny situations and emotional conflicts, slowly leading to common ground. At its core, the romcom raises the question: can technology really decide matters of the heart?
Future box office estimates for Param Sundari
Industry trade experts say that the star power of Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra helped the film’s opening weekend, but the real test is how long it can sustain. With festive holidays around the corner, Param Sundari could see a small boost, but the tough competition from Saiyaara and upcoming releases will not make it easy.
For now, the film has crossed a few milestones and continues to inch forward. But unless its collections stabilise soon, Param Sundari may end up being overshadowed by other bigger hits of the year.
