PadMan is based on the life of a real-life hero Arunachalam Muruganantham who brought in a wave of change in the lives of rural women by inventing the machine which could dispense economically viable sanitary pads. Akshay Kumar aces his role as Lakshmikanth Chauhan in the film and the act can be deemed as one of his most endearing performances till date.
