Mirai Box Office Collection Day 6: Teja Sajja’s big fantasy action film Mirai has been the talk of the town ever since it hit theatres last week. The movie roared at the box office during its opening weekend, crossing the massive Rs 100 crore mark worldwide in just five days. However, as expected with most big releases, the film has now started showing a slight dip in daily collections.

Mirai Box Office Collection Day 6

On its sixth day, Wednesday, Mirai managed to earn Rs 4.5 crore net in India, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. This marks the film’s lowest single-day collection so far, but the overall numbers remain strong. With this, the total domestic box office tally of the film has touched Rs 61.50 crore net in six days. Globally, the film has already crossed Rs 100 crore and is expected to continue its run through the second weekend.

Mirai occupancy report and regional response

On Wednesday, the film recorded an overall 20.69 per cent occupancy in Telugu theatres. Morning shows began with 13.96 per cent occupancy, which picked up slightly in the afternoon with 21.02 per cent. Evening shows dropped to 20 per cent before climbing to 27.1 per cent at night. The highest occupancy was registered in the Mahbubnagar region, showing the film’s continued appeal in Telugu markets.

In Hindi-speaking regions, Mirai is also holding its ground, though on a smaller scale, with an overall occupancy of 11.58 per cent on the same day. Industry experts say the film’s steady performance in both Telugu and Hindi belts is a positive sign for its long-term box office journey.

Mirai day-wise box office collection in India

Mirai opened strong at the domestic box office, earning Rs 13 crore on Day 1, followed by Rs 15 crore on Day 2 and peaking at Rs 16.6 crore on Day 3. However, collections dipped from Day 4 onwards, with Rs 6.4 crore on Sunday, Rs 6 crore on Monday, and Rs 4.5 crore on Tuesday. This takes the six-day total to Rs 61.50 crore nett. The sharp weekend surge followed by a steady decline is typical for big-budget event films, and all eyes are now on the film’s second weekend to see if Mirai can maintain its momentum and inch closer to the Rs 100 crore domestic milestone.

Mirai sequel in talks?

Adding to the buzz, actor Manchu Manoj, who plays the antagonist Mahabir in the film, recently hinted at a possible sequel. In an interview with Hindustan Times, he said, “There’s more in store for the fight between Vedha and Mahabir. For one, when Vedha shot the arrow, did he hit Mahabir’s leg or head? Ravana could only be beaten when shot in the navel. There are so many questions left unanswered for my character and the film as a whole. Karthik has big plans for Mahabir in the franchise.”
