Mirai Box Office Collection Day 7: Teja Sajja’s latest action fantasy Mirai, has successfully completed its first week at the box office. Though it had its share of high and lows at the box office during the first week it amassed Rs 100 crore worldwide. Directed by Karthik Gattamneni, the film released on September 12 and the action fantasy has been the talk of the town ever since it hit the theatres. However, the superhero fantasy has now started showing a slight dip in daily box office collections.

According to trade analyst Sacnilk, the film earned around Rs 3.35 crore on Thursday. This takes the total domestic box office collection of Mirai to Rs 65.10 crore. While the film opened up to huge numbers at the box office, with new releases coming up, it has started losing its pace. When it comes to worldwide box office collection, the film has already crossed Rs 100 crore and is expected to continue its run through the second weekend globally. 

Mirai day-wise box office collection in India

On the first day ‘Mirai’ minted over Rs 13 crore. The film saw an impressive Rs 15 crore and Rs 16.6 crore collection during the first weekend. During the weekday it made Rs 6.4 crore on Tuesday, Rs 6 crore on Tuesday and Rs 4.75 crore on Wednesday. All eyes are now on the film’s second weekend to see if Mirai can maintain its momentum and inch closer to the Rs 100 crore domestic milestone.

Mirai occupancy report and regional response

The film on the seventh day had 18.72 per cent occupancy in theatres. The morning shows began at 13.77 per cent. It had a steady increase in the afternoon and evening shows, 18.72 per cent and 19.95 per cent. It later wrapped up the day with night shows at 22.42 per cent. 

Meanwhile, On the other hand, the film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 8.81 per cent. The morning shows were at 5.01 per cent and increased to 9.25 per cent and 9.33 per cent. However, the night show recorded the highest footfall at 11. 66 per cent.

Directed by Karthik Gattamneni, Mirai is a fantasy action-adventure that blends mythology with a superhero twist. The film stars Teja Sajja in the lead, along with Manoj Manchu, Shriya Saran, Jagapathi Babu, Jayaram, and Ritika Nayak in key roles. Produced by People Media Factory, Mirai released in multiple languages on September 12 with huge buzz and high expectations.

Due to strong word-of-mouth and talks of a possible sequel, the film is likely to stay strong at the box office during upcoming weeks. How it performs in its second weekend will be the real test to see if it becomes one of the year’s biggest blockbusters.
