Mirai Box Office Collection Day 11: Teja Sajja’s latest release Mirai has achieved another milestone at the box office. Despite the expected slowdown on its second Monday, the fantasy-action adventure has managed to cross the Rs 80 crore mark in India, proving its strong hold among audiences.

Mirai Box Office Collection Day 11

According to industry tracker Sacnilk,  Mirai collected around Rs 1.75 crore on Day 11 which is a drop of almost 70 per cent as compared to what it earned at the box office on Sunday.

The Hindi (2D) version of the Teja Sajja starrer had a strong start in the morning with just about 4.5 per cent occupancy. However, it picked up a little in the afternoon with close to 7 per cent, and evening shows improved further to 8.82 per cent, while night shows recorded the highest occupancy of the day at 9.13 per cent. So while Monday was definitely slower, the trend shows that the audience is still coming in steadily.

Mirai 11-day Box Office Collection

In just 11 days, Mirai has collected Rs 80.75 crore net across all languages. The film started on a strong note, collecting Rs 13 crore on Day 1 at the box office, with the Telugu version contributing a massive Rs 11.15 crore and the Hindi version Rs 1.65 crore. The positive audience reaction over social media and even word of mouth helped it grow further with Rs 15 crore on Day 2 and Rs 16.6 crore on Day 3, giving it a powerful opening weekend.

As expected, collections dropped from Monday onwards. Day 4 brought in Rs 6.4 crore, followed by Rs 6 crore on Day 5, Rs 4.75 crore on Day 6, and Rs 3.35 crore on Day 7. This took its first-week total to Rs 65.1 crore, with Telugu contributing Rs 50.71 crore and Hindi Rs 13.1 crore.

The second weekend helped Mirai bounce back. It collected Rs 2.75 crore on Day 8 (Friday), rose to Rs 5.15 crore on Day 9 (Saturday), and further increased to Rs 6 crore on Day 10 (Sunday). These numbers show that the film was going through a strong weekend trend before the expected dip on Monday (Day 11).

Mirai sequel in talks?

Actor Manchu Manoj, who plays the antagonist Mahabir in the film, recently hinted at a possible sequel. In an interview with Hindustan Times, he said, “There’s more in store for the fight between Vedha and Mahabir. For one, when Vedha shot the arrow, did he hit Mahabir’s leg or head? Ravana could only be beaten when shot in the navel. There are so many questions left unanswered for my character and the film as a whole. Karthik has big plans for Mahabir in the franchise.”
