Tharun Moorthy’s Thudarum, starring Mohanalal, is performing well at the box office in just two days since its release. While fans are blown over by the performances of Mohanlal and Shobana, there’s another actor who’s getting as much praise from cine-goers. George, the antagonist, is played by Prakash Varma. But who is he? We find out.

Check out audience reaction on Prakash Varma’s performance in Thudarum:

A renowned ad filmmaker, Prakash Varma is the creator of some of the most iconic advertisements in India. He is the person behind a telecom network’s ZooZoo ads and the iconic ‘boy and puppy’ campaign.

In 2001, Prakash founded Nirvana Films with his wife Sneha Ipe. It is a leading production company based in Bengaluru. Before this, he worked under the well-known Malayalam filmmaker, Viji Thampi. After his stint with Thampi, he worked under ad filmmaker V.K. Varma.

He is also the person behind the campaigns for Kerala Tourism and also the Dubai Tourism ads with Shah Rukh Khan, which were much-loved and viral. In 2009, Hollywood director Michael Bay’s production company, The Institute, signed him.

Besides the above, Varma also directed campaigns for several other brands like Bisleri, KitKat, iPhone, Camerry, Amazon Prime and Netflix besides Vodafone.

Coming to Thudarum, the reason why Prakash Varma agreed to work on Thudarum was because he immensely admires Mohanlal, according to Manorama News. Director Tharun decided to get Varma onboard after considering several actors in the Malayalam and Tamil industries. He even conducted several auditions for the role of George. And now, people cannot stop praising him for his role in the movie.
