Cut to 2025, the actor, in an attempt to re-create the ‘viral moment’ asked Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis how he liked to eat oranges, and whether his preferred way of relishing the fruit is by peeling or juicing them.

While Kumar’s purpose was to elicit some laughs, which he surely did, Fadnavis ended up sharing a useful ‘Nagpur trick’ of eating oranges, which is similar to how people usually eat mangoes. The exchange happened at a FICCI Frames event in Mumbai and left the netizens ROFL.

The Jolly LLB 3 actor in 2019 had asked the Indian Prime Minister – ‘Aap aam kaise khate hain’, to which PM Modi replied saying he loved the fruit as a child and still enjoys eating them. The netizens at that time mercilessly trolled the actor.

The actor then went on to ask the Maharashtra CM how he liked eating oranges.

“Aap Nagpur se hain. Nagpur is very famous for its oranges. Toh sir aapko oranges achche lagte hain? Sir aap cheel kar khate ho ya juicer mein juice peete hain (You are from Nagpur and Nagpur is very famous for its oranges. Sir, do you like eating oranges. Do you peel them or juice them?),” Akshay asked.

Fadnavis answered the question in all his sincerity, revealing a novel way of eating oranges.
