Sunny Deol’s Jaat released on April 10 and is drawing movie-goers with its action and power-packed dialogues. The movie is performing great at the box office. With its engaging storyline, Jaat has managed to earn Rs. 50 crores in the box office within six days of its release.
According to the Sacnilk Report, Jaat has collected Rs 6 crore on day 6 in the domestic box office, marking its entrance into the Rs 50 crore-club as it leads the total to Rs 53.5 crores.
Jaat made a fine start with the collection of Rs 9.5 crores on the first day, April 10. Although it saw a downfall on the second day, as it earned Rs 7 crores, it managed to earn well on day 3, Saturday, collecting Rs 10 crores. On Sunday, the movie saw massive growth in its box office collection, collecting Rs 14 crores, reaching a total of Rs 40.25 crores. On day 5, Jaat collected Rs 7.5 crores, inching the total figure closer to Rs 50 crores.
The film’s story follows the life of Brigadier Baldev Pratap Singh, a role portrayed by Sunny Deol. The story shows his combat against Sri Lankan terrorists led by Ranatunga (Randeep Hooda) in a coastal village in Andhra Pradesh. The film highlights various social issues, including corruption, community scenarios, and patriotism, forcing immense action to lead the story.
Apart from Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda, Jaat also stars Saiyami Kher as a police officer, Regina Cassandra, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Jagapathi Babu.
Critics have praised Sunny Deol’s overall performance and Randeep Hooda’s performance as the villain in the film. The full action movie and the powerful dialogue delivery has successfully impressed fans. Although many have criticized the regular storyline and too much violence the movie is stealing eyes.
After competing well with Salman Khan’s Sikandar, now Sunny Deol’s Jaat will be facing a challenging competition with the release of Akshay Kumar’s starrer Kesari Chapter 2 this week.
