Sunny Deol’s latest movie ‘Jaat‘ is performing significantly well at the box office. The film collected around Rs 14 crore net on Sunday, earning its first double-digit profit in a single day. With Sunday’s collections, the film has seen a massive jump of 43% and collected a total of Rs 40.25 crore. Fans were waiting in anticipation for the release of ‘Jaat’ and must say, they were not disappointed.
Massive shift in ‘Jaat’ BO Collection
On the first day of its release, which was on Thursday, April 10th, ‘Jaat’ collected Rs 9.5 crores, while on the second day, the film saw a decline with a collection of Rs 7 crores. On Saturday, however, the film again made a decent collection at the box office by collecting Rs 10 crores. But the massive jump came on Sunday when the film collected a total of Rs 14 crores.
The film’s story revolves around the life of Brigadier Baldev Pratap Singh, a character played by Sunny Deol. As he fights against Sri Lankan terrorists led by Ranatunga (Randeep Hooda) in a coastal village in Andhra Pradesh. The story covers various social issues, including corruption, community scenarios, and patriotism, forcing immense action to lead the story.
Other than Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda, the movie has various stars, including Saiyami Kher as a police officer, Regina Cassandra, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Jagapathi Babu.
Netizens have praised Sunny Deol’s overall performance and Randeep Hooda’s performance as the villain in the film. The action packed movie and the powerful dialogue delivery is pleasing. Although many have criticised the regular storyline and too much of violence.
The story, although, did not accomplish the target of Rs 50 crores and has given great competition to Salman Khan’s starrer Sikandar, which released on March 30, 2025.
