Kris Jenner’s recent appearance in Paris has set social media ablaze, with many commenting on her youthful new look. The 69-year-old matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner family, who was accompanying her daughter Kim for court appearances, stunned onlookers with what appeared to be a transformation that erased decades from her age. While Jenner’s representatives confirmed she underwent procedures with celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Steven M. Levine, a renowned expert has raised doubts, suggesting that AI tools or image manipulation may be involved in her transformation.

Plastic surgeon questions the authenticity of Jenner’s new look

In an Instagram post that has since gone viral, Dr. Gary Lawton, a plastic surgeon based in San Antonio, cast significant doubt on the authenticity of Jenner’s new look. With over 250,000 views, Lawton’s post pointed out that the images circulating worldwide were inconsistent with what could be achieved through surgery alone. “There is no possible way that this is a surgical transformation,” Lawton stated, emphasising that the jawline and chin appeared to be unnaturally narrow and reshaped, which would typically require extensive bone recontouring. He suggested that the images were likely altered using digital tools, such as AI-generated or heavily retouched visuals.

Dr. Lawton went further, analysing the symmetry and flawless surface of Jenner’s face, noting that such perfection was unrealistic for any surgical procedure, especially for someone over 60. “Cosmetic surgery can produce dramatic results, but the perfection, the anatomic symmetry, the flawless, smooth skin is just going to create more unrealistic expectations in patients,” he remarked. This sparked a wave of mixed reactions among his followers, with some thanking him for his honesty, while others expressed disbelief about the increasing use of AI in altering celebrity images.

Jenner’s past cosmetic procedures

While Jenner has not confirmed or denied undergoing surgery recently, her past procedures are well-documented. In 2011, she was filmed undergoing a facelift for the reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians when she was 55 years old. Over the years, Jenner has admitted to various other treatments, including breast augmentation, earlobe surgery, Botox, fillers, and laser treatments.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Lisa Friederich, commenting on Jenner’s more recent photos, suggested that a combination of non-invasive aesthetic treatments, including a facelift or mini-lift, could have contributed to her youthful appearance. She speculated that dermal fillers were used to enhance Jenner’s cheeks, creating a fuller, more contoured look. However, Dr. Lawton’s analysis casts doubt on these possibilities, further fueling the debate about the role of AI and image manipulation in modern celebrity transformations.
