Shah Rukh Khan, the ultimate Bollywood icon, is known for a string of blockbusters and his epic on-screen presence. From National Award-winning Jawan to mass entertainer Chennai Express, the films have become a cultural phenomenon over time. While SRK hasn’t appeared in any popular sequel yet, Pathaan might just be his debut re-run performance.

With the upcoming film King in the pipeline, Khan is set to star alongside Deepika Padukone and his daughter, Suhana Khan, marking her debut on the big screen. Speaking at an event in Dubai, Shah Rukh Khan took centre stage with real estate developer Danube and Farah Khan. There were speculations about an upcoming sequel. As interpretations went viral, the netizens couldn’t help but predict another Pathaan movie in the making. Financial Express.com reached out to a close source to Danube Properties, but the development couldn’t be confirmed.

‘Every blockbuster has a sequel’

Speaking at the event, the founder of Danube Properties, Rizwan Sajan, celebrated the iconic tower. Named after Shah Rukh Khan, the tower is called ‘Shahrukhz by Danube.’ Interestingly, billionaire Sajan shared, “Just like every blockbuster has a sequel, like Pathaan, Pathaan 2 is coming…should there be another Shahrukhz by Danube tower?” As the crowd erupted in cheers, several speculations arose on the Internet.

Netizens were quick to notice the lack of denial on the star’s face as he smiled, standing beside Sajan. As the video racked up views and went viral overnight, several reports even confirmed the sequel. But these claims could not be independently verified. However, fans were excited, nevertheless, expecting yet another blockbuster performance from Khan. On other hand, others were concerned if the sequel would do the first film justice. A netizen wrote, “SRK sir please don’t do it…go for better, not with spy universe.”

SRK’s viral moment from Dubai

On the same platform, Khan also shared a rather emotional anecdote which left fans soaring with pride. Sharing that his parents passed away at a young age, he missed that desire to feel close to them. Since he believed they had become stars in the sky, Khan shared, “I worked harder to become a bigger person. God has been very kind – I just put a bronze statue in London of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, and I won the National Award. Now, in Dubai, I have a building in my name.”

“The idea was that I become so big on earth that my parents can see me from heaven,” Shah Rukh Khan concluded.
