The expansive K-entertainment world and its global lovers have kept their eyes peeled for this very moment for the past 10 years. And the wish is coming true today! With their romance ‘ship’ sailing for the past one decade, top South Korean actors Kim Woo Bin and Shin are ready to tie the knot and relish their real-life K-drama happy ending.

Their agency AM Entertainment shared a lovely picture of the couple today. Publishing a glimpse of their private wedding shoot, the company wrote online, “Today, actress Shin Min Ah and actor Kim Woo Bin are officially tying the knot. We are deeply grateful for the warm blessings and unwavering support you’ve shown the couple as they embark on this precious new journey together. Both actors look forward to returning your love by continuing to deliver their best performances on screen in the future.”

Surrounded by friends and family and love, the celebrity couple will be getting in a private ceremony in Seoul. According to their agency’s prior statement confirming the big news, “Kim Woo Bin and Shin Min Ah promised to become lifelong partners based on the deep trust they have built over many years.”

Affectionately dubbed the “model couple,” the K-drama stars’ wedding will see one of their dearest friends, actor Lee Kwang Soo, host the ceremony at the best venue possible in South Korea, The Shilla Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, as per K-media outlet Newsis.

Kim and Shin, who have been dating publicly since 2015, are not the only the prominent celebrity couple to wed at the affluent location. Several other Korean celebrities in the past have sworn by The Shilla in the past, and continue to do so.

About The Shilla Hotel Seoul

As Seoul’s first luxury hotel, which opened in 1973, the go-to celebrity wedding destination continues to retain its glorious standards even decades down the line. Earlier this year, The Shilla Seoul snagged five stars from the Forbes Travel Guide, becoming the Asian nation’s first and only hotel to embrace the top-most and prestigious rating for seven consecutive years.

Having been in the Forbes guide since 2017, though first as a four-star presence, the hotel ultimately jumped up a notch, securing the highest post as a five-star name in the 2019 edition, according to the Korea Times.

Despite being the oldest luxury powerhouse in the city, The Shilla Seoul takes pride in being a modern treasure with world-class amenities, according to the Forbes Travel Guide. The Samsung-owned hotel’s president and CEO is Lee Boo Jin, who has a net worth of $6 billion as of today.

Inside Kim Woo Bin and Shin Min Ah’s wedding venue

The main halls at the dream wedding venue are the large banquet hall, Dynasty Hall, which accommodates up to 700 guests, and Yeongbingwan, which is meant for outdoor weddings and can host 200 to 300 guests, as per The Asia Business Daily.

Named after one of Korea’s three ancient kingdoms, the hotel space offers a magnificent view of the Namsan Mountain, according to Cosmopolitan. The South China Morning Post further chronicles in its review of The Shilla Seoul that a space called The Library is largely defined by the presence of “Rich dark woods, oversized leather seating and a central fireplace.”

From fine whiskies and traditional high tea to Michelin-starred fine dining pertaining to Chinese, Japanese, French and Korean palettes, you will find it all at The Library. Therein, the Lounge offers five private VIP rooms. Visitors may also be intrigued by the Guerlain spa and Urban Island swimming complex. Here, you will find poolside bistros, bars and other means of entertainment catching your eye all through the year.

The best possible highlight of The Shilla, according to SCMP, is the indoor and outdoor Joseon-era hanok, the Yeong Bin Gwan meeting space, which bridges Korean heritage and modernism. The hanok, in turn, houses two gardens and three banquet rooms.

How much does a Shilla Seoul fairytale wedding cost?

The Asia Business Daily cited hotel industry sources, suggesting that a wedding for 300 guests at a five-star hotel in the South Korean capital starts at a minimum of 80 to 90 million won. Adding fresh flowers, meal upgrades and other special production elements could result in sky-piercing costs.

The South Korean media report added that including extensive floral decor could push the total amount to go past 100 million won. Analysing YouTuber Kim Seupsup’s wedding that took place at the Shilla Hotel Dynasty Hall in May 2025, the report further listed her expenses tied to the hotel nuptials.

While flower arrangements alone cost 61 million won, curtain and space decorations’ combined expenditure brough the total to 88.6 million won. For a French course, a meal cost per person was set at 200,000 won, with an addition 10,000 won for wedding noodles.

And so, beverages and alcohol being included in the mix for 433 guests rung up a total of 90 million won. Thereafter, adding the wedding hall expenses nearly hit the 200 million won mark. Finally, total wedding expenses with dress inclusions, wedding favours and more accounted for about 300 million won.
