Emmy Awards 2025: As the television industry’s big night out finally comes to an end, there is a certain electricity in the air. The red carpet looks are in, winners announced, and photos clicked; now all that is left to do is relish the sweet taste of victory for the winners of the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards.
As the Peacock Theatre lit up with guests from around the world, stars across ages, history was scripted earlier today. From Owen Cooper’s win for ‘Adolescence’ to Tramell Tillman’s ‘Severence’ award, these actors will be remembered each year. Ceremoniously so, the ‘Gilmore Girls’ hijacked autumn again, and the underdog moment with Jeff Hiller did not disappoint. But as the day progresses, are you also wondering, how much do these Emmy Award winners earn?
Price or Prize?
The truth is, the Emmy Award does not come with a paycheck. It is more of an honorary award and not a monetary one, just like winning an Olympic medal or performing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

But it is not the trophy that fetches the money, but what comes award. Being an Emmy winner not only means the actors are on their way to a pay hike, but also that the increased recognition will be great for their future projects. The golden trophy suddenly turns actors into assets, and they can choose to be paid more for upcoming adventures.
How much is the Emmy trophy worth?
As per a LA Times report, the iconic trophy of the Emmy Awards statuette is made out of copper and nickel. That’s not all. It is dipped in liquid gold with an end weight of more than 3 kgs. This takes the manufacturing cost to Rs 35,000 per piece. Factor in the increasing gold price, and if it were made with solid gold, each Emmy Trophy would cost more than Rs 30 lakh.
While worth is a subjective term and winning this honour is a priceless moment. The cost, however, is an astonishing amount. Keeping this into account, one should note how ‘The Studio’ won a record-breaking 13 Emmy awards as Seth Rogen flaunted his four accolades. Owen Cooper starrer Adolescence won 6, the best drama series, The Pitt, won 3 Emmys, with Severance, with 27 nominations, won about 6 awards.
