After enduring an extensive production cycle spanning over five years, Hari Hara Veera Mallu is finally set to hit theatres on July 24, after a production period of five long years. There are special paid premieres scheduled for the evening of July 23. The historical action drama, which faced multiple delays due to multiple setbacks, including changes in the crew and lead actor Pawan Kalyan’s political commitments, is now all set to release in the theatres. But what’s generating attention is how much Pawan Kalyan got paid for the movie.

Pawan Kalyan’s fee for Hari Hara Veera Mallu
Recently at a press conference, the actor-politician spoke about the film, mentioning, “These are extenuating circumstances,” he stated. “I usually don’t promote my films, and I feel producers have suffered because of me. First, there was Corona, a natural disaster, and then a man-made disaster due to politics. I now feel some sort of responsibility towards promoting films that have been delayed.”
The Bro actor, who recently became the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, then went on to talk about his remuneration for the movie. There were reports suggesting that his fee for Hari Hara Veera Mallu ranged between Rs 11 crore and Rs 20 crore, which is much less than what he received for Bro – Rs 50 crore. However, Pawan Kalyan clarified the speculation. He revealed that his paycheck for this movie remains uncertain and will depend on its box office performance.
“Because even my remuneration for this… (laughs). I don’t know, I’ll consider it if it may become a hit tomorrow,” he said. “My idea is that the film should be released first and do well to safeguard the producer.”
This isn’t the first time Kalyan has expressed concern for the film’s producer, AM Rathnam. In previous interviews and interactions, he has consistently spoken about how it is his duty to support Rathnam, who produced the ambitious project despite several delays and disruptions.
About Hari Hara Veera Mallu
Initially directed by Krish, the project was later taken over by Rathnam’s son, Jyothi Krisna, who completed the film. Hari Hara Veera Mallu stars Pawan Kalyan in the titular role of an outlaw during the Mughal era, along with Nidhhi Agerwal playing a dancer named Panchami and Bobby Deol taking on the role of Emperor Aurangzeb.
The first installment of the period drama, titled Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 – Sword vs Spirit, will determine how the franchise performs. While there is a sequel planned, it’s reported that the production will only begin depending on how the first installment performs at the box-office.
