Paris Hilton shared the heartbreaking news that her family’s home was destroyed in the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. In a deeply emotional post on X, the Hollywood star expressed her sorrow over the loss of the Malibu home, describing the experience as one that no one should ever have to endure.

“Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience,” Hilton wrote. “I’m heartbroken beyond words.”

Hilton, who is married to entrepreneur Carter Reum, lived in the home with their two children: 1-year-old son Phoenix and daughter London. In her post, Hilton reflected on the precious memories created in the home, including the moment when Phoenix took his first steps and the couple’s dreams of building a future with their children. “This home was where we built so many precious memories,” Hilton continued. “It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London.”

The wildfires, fueled by powerful Santa Ana winds, have devastated parts of Los Angeles County since Tuesday, killing at least five people and displacing thousands. Forecasters have warned that while winds may ease overnight, critical fire conditions will persist through Thursday.

Several major fires have broken out across the region, including the Eaton Fire, which burned more than 10,600 acres in Altadena, and the Pacific Palisades Fire, which consumed 15,832 acres between Santa Monica and Malibu. A third fire, the Hurst Fire, spread through 500 acres in Sylmar, prompting evacuations. Over 100,000 people have been ordered to evacuate from affected areas.

Despite the overwhelming loss, Hilton found solace in the safety of her family. “While the loss is overwhelming, I’m holding onto gratitude that my family is safe,” she wrote. Hilton also expressed her sympathy for others affected by the fires. “My heart and prayers are going out to every family affected by these fires. To all the people who have lost their homes, their memories, and their beloved pets,” she added.

Hilton’s post also highlighted the larger toll the fires have taken on the entertainment industry. Several stars, including actors James Woods and Cameron Mathison, reality TV personalities Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, and songwriter Diane Warren, also lost their homes. The fires have caused significant disruptions, including the postponement of the Critics’ Choice Awards and the cancellation of movie premieres.

Hilton ended her message with a heartfelt thank-you to the firefighters and first responders who have been working tirelessly to protect the community. “I am so grateful for your courage, dedication, and the incredible sacrifices you’re making to save lives and fight this unimaginable battle,” she wrote. She also urged everyone to hold onto hope that the fires would soon be contained, concluding with a reminder to cherish loved ones: “Hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight. You never know when everything could change.”

The wildfires continue to wreak havoc across the region, and Hilton’s message serves as a poignant reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of supporting one another during times of crisis.
