Haq Box Office Collection Day 5: Based on the landmark Shah Bano case, the Yami Gautam and Emraan Hashmi starrer, Haq, has received a lukewarm response from the audience. After a Rs 1.75 crore opening day, the courtroom drama was in for a hard time at the box office. Released amid the marriage festivities, it also had stiff competition from its southern contemporary, Rashmika Mandanna’s The Girlfriend.

Haq collection day 5: Box office update
Haq’s Rs 1.75 crore opening day was followed by a 91.43% hike over its opening weekend. Sacnilk reported that Haq grossed Rs 3.35 crore on its second day, and increased slightly on day three, with Rs 3.85 crore on Sunday. As the weekday slowdown kicked in, Haq only managed to collect Rs 1.05 crore with a 72% dip. Finally, on Day 5, as the second weekend approaches, Haq’s box office collection crossed the Rs 11 crore mark, after grossing Rs 1.25 crore on Tuesday.
The occupancy rates for Haq remained a healthy 21.11% while evening and night shows remained popular. With barely 500 screenings left in India, 28% of the audience in Mumbai attended the 63 shows. In Delhi NCR, nearly 100 shows had an average occupancy of 27.25%. Pune and Bengaluru, too, had a decent number across the 86 shows in both cities.

The Girlfriend: Box office collection day 5
Also released on November 7, Rashmika Mandanna‘s The Girlfriend had a lower opening than Haq. However, it picked up pace over the weekend to gross more than Rs 5 crore on its opening weekend. With largely negative reviews about the plot, the Rashmika Madanna starrer dipped below Rs 1 crore to collect just above Rs 80 lakh on the weekdays. The total box office collection of The Girlfriend after Day 5 stood at Rs 8.03 crore. Released in Telugu, this regional film has made a mark for itself and given tough competition to Haq. It stars Dheekshith Shetty opposite Mandanna, with Anu Emmanuel, Rao Ramesh, and Rohini in key roles.
