Did Sir Paul McCartney just tease a 2025 tour? One of his recent Instagram Stories optimistically points in that direction.
Taking to his social media profile, the former Beatles star dropped an eye-widening snap featuring two guitar picks. While one was labelled “Paul McCartney,” the other read “Got Back in 2025,” signalling the highly anticipated comeback of his acclaimed concert tour. The IG Story additionally re-directed fans to a sign-up page. Given the colours of the picks and font – blue, white and red, the British musician possible also dropped a massive hint about the potential tour’s location: the United States.
The linked attached to the post seemingly confirms all hopeful desires, as it says : “Sign up to receive information on tour dates, pre-sales and much more…”
What does Paul McCartney’s ‘Got Back’ reference mean?
McCartney’s “Got Back” originally launched in April 2022 at Spokane Arena in Washington. Its shows ultimately expanded all over the globe, running all through December 2024 with London as its final host city.
The tour title is believed to be a bittersweet reference to the Beatles’ 1969 track “Get Back,” which has repeatedly been re-mastered over the years. Its credited to the legendary Lennon-McCartney partnership. Even the rock band’s trilogy of documentary miniseries bears the same name. While we’re on the Beatles topic, just earlier this week Paul’s ex-bandmate Ringo Starr celebrated his 85th birthday.
“A very happy birthday to my dear friend, Ringo (or should I say, Sir Richard). I hope you have a wonderful day full of love,” McCartney captioned his IG post, sharing a Kodak moment of the two together.

With many holding their breath for the tour dates already, a fan summed up the excitement, saying, “Can’t believe I’m gonna wake up tomorrow to new Paul McCartney US tour dates.”

Many others were surprised that he was still planning on touring at this age. Another user counted on Paul and Ringo touring together “before they hang it up for good.”
With some debating over how the singer’s voice quality has diminished with age, a fans countered: “If people are happy to see him live in the knowledge that his voice is gone, I don’t see the problem. He makes people happy!” One more chimed in: “Paul can simply stand on stage and I will still pay to see him!”

Someone added, “please go to canada please go to canada please go to canada please go to canada please go to canada,” another went on, “Paul, if you come to either Dublin or Belfast, I will record myself downing 5 shots of pickle juice.”
