Maargan OTT release: After performing well at the box office, Tamil crime thriller Maargan is now set to make its OTT debut. Maargan, which hit theatres on June 27, is directed by debutant director Leo John Paul. Know all about Maargan’s OTT release and when and where to watch it.
Maargan’s OTT release: Know all about it
After being in the theatres for almost a month and getting good response, the makers have confirmed the film’s OTT release. Maargan will begin streaming on Amazon Prime Video in India from July 25. For viewers outside India, the film will also be available on Tentkotta, the international OTT platform for Tamil content.
Tentkotta announced the news on their social media handles. They posted a picture of the movie along with the caption, “When shadows speak, the devil listens… #Maargan – The Black Devil is ready to rise and reign! Streaming from July 25 only on @Tentkotta (Excluding India).”
The phrase ‘Black Devil’ comes from the film directly. It refers to the strange drug that turns the victims’ bodies black in the film, and also forms the main plot.
Maargan plot
Maargan follows a senior police officer, played by Vijay Antony, based in Mumbai, who is assigned to investigate a series of murders targeting young women. As the case progresses, he discovers that the killer is injecting victims with an unidentified serum or poison that turns the victims’ bodies black. When he gets deeper into the case, it keeps getting more and more complex.

Apart from the lead played by Vijay Antonym, Maargan also stars Ajay Dhishan, Kumar Natarajan, P. Samuthirakani, Ramachandran Durairaj, Mahanadi Shankar, Vinod Sagar, Adithya Kathir, and Ajith Koshi. The film is produced by Meera Vijay Antony under the banner of Vijay Antony Film Corporation, with music composed by Vijay Antony himself.
