Ajith Kumar’s latest Tamil action-comedy film Good Bad Ugly opened to a phenomenal start at the box office, raking in Rs 28.5 crore on its first day in India. This marks the highest-ever opening for the Tamil superstar, surpassing his previous best with Valimai (Rs 28 crore) and Vidaamuyarchi (Rs 22 crore).

The film witnessed packed theatres across Tamil Nadu, especially in major cities like Chennai and Coimbatore, where evening show occupancy crossed 95%. The overall occupancy rate stood at a strong 76%, reflecting high demand and positive word-of-mouth.

Directed by Adhik Ravichandran and produced by Mythri Movie Makers and T-Series Films, Good Bad Ugly features Ajith Kumar in a massy, stylish avatar. The film also stars Prabhu, Prasanna, Arjun Das, Sunil, Rahul Dev, Yogi Babu, and Shine Tom Chacko. With its gangster-style storyline and entertaining execution, the film has struck a chord with audiences.

The success is being attributed to Ajith’s strong fan base, effective promotions, and the mass appeal of the film. Early reactions suggest the film has been well-received by both critics and fans, with many calling it a return to form for the actor after a few underwhelming releases.

With a promising start and positive audience feedback, Good Bad Ugly is poised to become one of the biggest Tamil openers of all time, reaffirming Ajith Kumar’s enduring star power at the box office.
