Dolly Parton health: Celebrated country music star, Dolly Parton, has made a quick appearance on social media, just a day after her sister, Freida Parton, expressed concern about her health. The ‘Jolene’ singer looked active, well, and working on a set. She thanked the fans for the prayers and concern and wrote “I ain’t dead yet!” in the caption.
Taking to Meta, Freida had put out an emotional message for her sister’s health. Frieda shared that she had been “up all night praying” for her sister. She urged fans to be pray for her, “I have been led to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors…” Hours after this post went viral, and fans were concerned about the country music icon, Dolly Parton took the matter in her own hands.
‘Do I look sick to you?’
While on set, Dolly Parton shared that she was shooting a commercial at the time. “Everybody thinks I look sicker than I am, Do I look sick to you?!,” she exclaimed and said she was working hard. The 79-year-old also shared that she appreciated the prayers, since she is a “person of faith.” “I could always use the prayers for anything and everything,” she quipped.

The year has been particularly hard on her since her husband, Carl, faced prolonged sickness and passed away in March. Describing how she didn’t take care of herself then, she “let things go which should have been taken care of.” Over time, doctors advised her to take care of multiple things. Clarifying it was “nothing major,” she acknowledged the cancellations she had to make.
Earlier this year, in September, Parton had cancelled several of her concerts scheduled till the end of the year. Revealing that the doctors had found a kidney stone which had caused an infection, Parton had earlier shared, “I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see.” In her recent clip, Parton revealed that she was having a “few treatments here and there” at Vanderbilt.
AI pictures of Dolly and Reba
The 11-time Grammy winner addressed the generated images of the artists. “Did you see that AI picture of Reba and me?” she said. Joking that both Reba McEntire “looked like we need to be buried,” Dolly confirmed that the images were entirely fake. “If I was really dying, I don’t think Reba would be the one at my deathbed,” said Parton.
In the end, she confirmed that she was working hard, alive, and well. “I’m not ready to die yet!,” she said and “I don’t think God is done with me…I’m not done working,” she ended her video message.
