After taking box office by storm with his massive hits Bhoothakalam and Bramayugam, director Rahul Sadasivan is back with his latest ‘Diés Iraé’, starring Pranav Mohanlal, Sushmitha Bhat, Gibin Gopinath, and Manohari Joy. The Malayalam horror released today – Friday, October 31, has been winning hearts with its jaw-dropping visuals, well-timed jump-scares, and excellent performances.
The story revolves around Rohan, played by Pranav Mohanlal, who’s an architect by profession and lives alone. However, things take a dramatic turn after he learns about his schoolmate Kani’s (Sushmitha Bhat) death as a series of supernatural events unfold.
The horror film has been released just on time for Halloween, a US festival, now gaining popularity in India. It isn’t always easy to ace the combination of right script and execution in horror films, Diés Iraé impresses from the word go, as per early X (formerly Twitter) reviews.
