Global Punjabi icon Diljit Dosanjh is currently on his ‘Aura Tour’ in Australia. Coming a year after his hyper-successful ‘Diluminati’ tour, Dosanjh headlined his concert and made his fans dance to his tunes. But, he also broke the silence on the ‘Sardaarji 3’ controversy that sparked during the unfortunate Pahalgam terror attack. Calling for a nationwide ban on its release, Diljit Dosanjh was widely condemned for working alongside Pakistani actor Hania Amir.
While the singer was silent when the feud was at its peak, he finally addressed the matter. Ending his Kuala Lumpur performance, he clarified that the film was shot before the attack and the match took place afterward. As his video went viral, several netizens took to X (formerly Twitter) and had their mixed reactions.
‘Oh Mere Desh Da Jhanda hai’
Several fans in the crowd waved the Indian tricolour as the Punjabi singer performed on stage. Pointing towards the flag, Dosanjh remarked patriotically and said, “Oh Mere Desh Da Jhanda hai [That’s my country’s flag].” He spoke about his love for India and declared, “We are all India,” while saluting the national flag.
He expressed his sorrow for the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 26 people on April 22. It was followed by the strategic military operation launched by the Indian Armed Forces, Operation Sindoor, as a move against terrorism. He said, “We prayed in April, we still pray today,” referring to the nationwide trauma experienced at the time.
He also commented that, “Punjabis or Sikhs can never go against the country,” receiving loud cheers from his fans present. Here’s his full message to his fans:

Clarifying the ‘Sardaarji 3’ controversy
“At that time, and even now, we have always prayed that the terrorists should receive strict punishment. The difference is that my film was shot before the attack, and the match was played after the attack,” said the singer during his Aura Tour performance. Towards the end, he acknowledged that he remained silent on purpose and he had his reasons.
“I have many answers, but I kept quiet, kept everything inside me. I didn’t speak. I have many answers. Whoever tells you anything, you shouldn’t take that poison inside you. I have learned that from life. So I didn’t say anything. There are a lot of things more to say, but I don’t want to do that,” said Dosanjh.
The Punjabi Singer was last seen in Bollywood, lending his voice to Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, Ba***ds of Bollywood, for the song ‘Tenu ki Pata’. The series has received wide and critical acclaim from fans online.
