Dhurandhar box office collection day 8: Ranveer Singh made a powerful comeback with Dhurandhar after a movie-less 2025. Silencing critics, this Aditya Dhar directorial has become one of the biggest blockbusters of the year. However, Akshaye Khanna’s comeback has garnered huge praise from the audience. Playing the effortlessly dark villain, Rahman Dakait, he faces off against Ranveer Singh as Hamza Ali, and netizens feel he even overshadows him.
Dhurandhar also stars seasoned actors such as Ranveer Singh, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sanjay Dutt. However, it was recently banned in six Gulf countries – including Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, UAE, and Saudi Arabia for allegedly portraying anti-Pakistan sentiments. Despite such global uproars, such as vocal opposition from Baloch leader Mir Yar, Dhurandhar has managed to win hearts internationally.
Dhurandhar collection day 7: Box office update
Sacnilk reports that Dhurandhar kicked off its run with a strong Rs 28 crore opening, before gaining further traction on Saturday with Rs 32 crore. The momentum peaked on Sunday, registering a 34 per cent jump and collecting Rs 43 crore, which pushed the opening weekend total beyond Rs 75 crore. The film stayed remarkably steady on Monday too; despite a 45 per cent drop, it still managed Rs 23 crore, placing it among the most robust weekday performers in the post-pandemic era.
Worldwide, Dhurandhar has now amassed Rs 319 crore, including Rs 70 crore from overseas markets. Its midweek hold remained solid, adding Rs 26 crore on day five and Rs 23 crore on day six, before a Rs 27 crore surge on day seven. On the second Friday, Dhurandhar grossed another Rs 32 crore, taking the total box office collection to Rs 239 crore in India within its first week.
Audience turnout has been equally encouraging. Delhi NCR reported the highest occupancy levels from the past week of 50 per cent. It surpassed Mumbai after the state filled 46 per cent across roughly 926 shows, while the national average hovered at a healthy 45 per cent. Bengaluru stood out with 65 per cent occupancy, closely followed by Pune at 54 per cent.
As the film wraps up a stellar first week, a new test awaits. As fresh releases like Kapil Sharma’s Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, and regional heavyweights Akhanda 2 and Mahasenha might overpower the spy thriller.
