Dhurandhar Box Office Collection: Opening weekend
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film had a strong start at the box office. It earned Rs 28 crore on its opening Friday, followed by Rs 32 crore on Saturday, and Rs 43 crore on Sunday which marks a 34 per cent jump from Saturday. Monday saw a dip to Rs 23.25 crore, but the collections recovered with Rs 27 crore on Tuesday, and the same on Wednesday and Thursday. The first week’s total collection reached Rs 207.25 crore, showing strong audience interest despite the film’s long 214-minute runtime.
Dhurandhar Box Office Collection: Second weekend surge
The second weekend brought even bigger numbers. Friday earned Rs 32.5 crore, Saturday soared to Rs 53 crore, and early estimates for Sunday are at Rs 59 crore. After 10 days, Dhurandhar has collected a staggering Rs 351.75 crore, making it one of the biggest blockbusters of the year.
Akshaye Khanna becomes the most loved actor
The film has received praise for the performances of its entire cast. Ranveer Singh, playing spy Jaskirat Singh Rangi, has impressed fans. Akshaye Khanna’s return as villain Rehman Dakait has been widely appreciated, with many saying he nearly outshined Ranveer. Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R. Madhavan has also been praised for their roles.
Mission Dhurandhar
Inspired by real events, Dhurandhar tells the story of Mission Dhurandhar, India’s first major espionage operation. After the 2001 Indian Parliament attack, IB Director Ajay Sanyal (R. Using the alias Hamza Ali Mazar, Jaskirat climbs the ranks while secretly planning to take down Rehman.
