Music composer Anirudh Ravichander is a known name, famous for delivering some of the biggest musical hits in recent years. He recently revealed that he used artificial intelligence (AI) for the soundtrack of Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Coolie. Here’s what happened.

Anirudh Ravichander uses ChatGPT for Coolie music

Speaking to Sun Pictures in a recent interview, Anirudh admitted turning to ChatGPT when he was facing a creative block. “Two days ago, when I had a creative block, I just opened ChatGPT and fed it the information about my song. I asked the AI, ‘This is the song. I am stuck while trying to compose the last two lines. What do I do, man?’ I swear, I am being honest,” he said.

The composer explained that AI generated ten possible lines. “From there, I saw one line, an idea emerged, and I cracked the rest of the song. All creators face a block, but today, it is easier to get over such a block. I feel it is better to let it be rather than overthink about being stuck,” he added.

During the same interview, Anirudh also shared an inside story about the making of the track Chikitu Vibe. Initially built around a tuned version of T. Rajendhar’s beats, the song was changed after learning that Soubin Shahir would also perform alongside Pooja Hegde in Monica. With this, the funny bits, including “Lakalakalaka” from Chandramukhi’s “Raa Raa” were added to the song.
